My deepest condolences! I have been away and just searched fir Walter only to find this news. As my Dean of Pledgees, I never got a chance to tell him I loved him. We men didn’t do much of that back then. But Brother Ware I love you and will always cherish your memories. Rest in heavenly peace. Dr. Ray White.

Bro Ware, I always will consider him and his wife Sister Dorothy my friend. I will always remember that "voice" that ONLY Mr. Walter had during choir singing. Sometime I would turn my head while listening to him. We both joked and smiled. I had the opportunity to meet some of his family members. I love you All. I will continue to pray for the family. It was wonderful knowing Brother Walter while I resided in Florida. I enjoyed seeing Bro and Sister Ware together each Sunday at St. James AME Church. Walter was my good friend, role model and frat brother. When I was stationed at NAS Jacksonville from '81-'85 we were good friends and confidants. I remember riding with him in his "Z", and he made my time there much easier, and better. He was always someone you could call on for fun, friendship, brotherhood and comfort.
