Obituary of Edward Urville Croston
Edward U. Croston passed away on July 10, 2016 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on September 18, 1967 in Cleveland, OH, the son of Edward O. Mayle and Pearl A. and George Clark.
Edward served in the U. S. Marine Corps. He earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing and worked as a registered nurse at the Jacksonville Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. He enjoyed fishing, working on his vehicles, camping and traveling with his wife.
Preceding Edward in death were his daughter, Bille JoAnna Gore; grandparents, Wanda and Rufus Mayle, Geneva Mae Croston and Cecil Norris.
Edward leaves to cherish his memory, a loving wife, Sheila May Croston; daughter, Shelby Croston Hinton (John); sons, Edward G. Croston and Armand C. Salamanca; step-son, Gannon DeShong (Lalia); step-daughters, Jennifer Gallina (John) and Tarah DeShong; brothers, Anthony Mayle (Terri), Teddy Mayle, Matthew Mayle (Brandi) and George D. “Rock” Clark; sisters, Fanci Mayle and Lacy Mann (Derrick); nephew, Anthony Clark; and friends, Bill Collins, Rhonda and Allen Barlow, Colin Klein and Taylor Settles.
The family wishes to thank the American Diabetes Association and request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, 7825 Baymeadows Way #104a, Jacksonville, FL 32256 in Edward’s memory.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A service will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at 3:00 p.m., with a viewing from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service. All services will be held at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233.
