Obituary of Henry A. Smith

Henry Arthur Smith was born on June 9, 1961 in Pineville, KY, to Wiley Smith, Sr. and the late Clestaner Boothe. Henry attended Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville, FL, and later worked in construction and the biohazard waste removal industry. He was a member of the New Colossians Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonville. His hobbies included barbecuing and fishing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Clestaner Boothe; brother, Henry Beard; nephews, Marcus Smith, Johnnie Smith and Bernard Fields; and niece, Legeana R. Boothe. He leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Wiley Smith, Sr.; sisters, Leslie (David) Lucas, Willie Mae Smith, Mabelene Smith, Mary Margaret Boothe and Helen (Omerest) Allen; brothers, David Lee Boothe and Wiley (Wonza) Smith, Jr.; aunts, Mary D. Williams, Lucy M. Boothe and Rosa Lee Austin; very special friend and fiancée, Barbara Logan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We have lost our son, our brother, our nephew, our uncle and our friend, but he will live forever in our hearts. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at New Colossians Missionary Baptist Church, 1154 W. 31st Street, Jacksonville, FL 32209.
