An avid Harley- Davidson enthusiast, he leaves behind a vast collection of Harley memorabilia and will always be remembered for his love of "Going for a ride on his 'scooter.'’ More than anything Smokey found joy and happiness in spending time with his wife and grandchildren, spoiling them at every opportunity.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Claudette Lee; and his father, Eddie Beasley.
Smokey is survived by his loving wife, Rita Beasley; three sons, William Phelps, and Joseph and James Jordan; four grandchildren, Tyler Phelps, Anna Jordan, Emilee Jordan and Dustin Phelps; sister, Becky Welsh; and four brothers, Larry Beasley, Byron Weathery, William “Spanky” Harvey and Okey David Mc Vaney.
