Vivian: I've no words to express the intense sadness that we feel for your loss. You and Jeff are such incredible people and have touched so many lives. The world will be less bright without him in it and the people whose lives he would've touched will be sadly lacking. They'll never low what they've missed but we do. There is nothing I can say or do to help you through your pain and loss as it is yours to bear. However, if there is any small thing you can think of that we can do to help make your life a little easier, please don't hesitate to ask. Larry & are would be honored to help you with anything that we can. With great love, affection, and admiration,

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Jeff's passing. He was my neighbor and friend for many years as a child. We got into so much trouble together, and yet had so many more laughs. I have fantastic memories of him. I have not seen him since high school, and yet I still feel grief. My best wishes go out to all his family.

A true Navy Sailor, taught me a lot in the time we served together. Showed me how to blend a large family life along with a hectic military life and searched for the truth when all others were against me. He was a true Saint that convinced me that there can still be success after the Navy. One of the few men that truly earned my respect. He will be forever missed.

I had the distinct pleasure of serving with Jeff onboard the USS Halyburton FFG-40 during the 80's and 90's, while serving as the Senior Enlisted Advisor it was immediately evident that he would be someone to reckon with , what he achieved during his career is mesmerizing to say the least. I know it is hard now but please take solace in the fact he will be in your hearts for eternity. Jeff was a Navy Man down to the core. Please accept my sincere condolences and may God Bless your entire family.

When thinking about Jeff so many things come to mind. First and foremost his life revolved around his family and his extended Navy family. He was always someone that cared for the well being of others, and who has impacted more people than I can possibly put into words. Jeff made me want to be better than I was in all aspects of my life. He was a true friend, brother, and shipmate that has left a lasting impression on my life. Jeff made a great impact on my life in such a short time. I only served a couple of years with Jeff, but in those couple of years we formed a friendship that has lasted me a lifetime. In spite of losing track of each other for over 25 years, I never forgot him, and was very happy to make contact with him again around 2006. When I first found out that Jeff had risen to the rank of Command Master Chief in the Navy, I was very impressed, but not surprised! Jeff always demonstrated a rare mix of congeniality and leadership, a quality that few possess. The more I learned about Jeff's accomplishments, the more I realized this great man who was such a great friend and shipmate, had carried those same qualities forward throughout his life. Jeff was an amazing individual, a great leader, a great friend to all, and a great family man. He not only served his country proudly but he and his wife Vivian raised a wonderful family. My deepest sympathies to the Alcott family. I will never forget Jeff.
