Obituary of Felix Ortiz, Jr

Felix Ortiz, Jr., 72, passed away on March 15, 2015 at his home in Orange Park, FL. He was born on July 5, 1942 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, to the late Felix Ortiz and Flora Colon-Ortiz. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Joseph Galan, and son-in-law, Jenera Hayes. Felix enjoyed singing, bowling, gardening and sports. Felix is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Martinez; daughters, Valerie, Natalia and Tina Ortiz and Joanne Hayes; sons, Richard Salas, Nicholas, David and Felix Ortiz; grandchildren, Felix Ortiz, Jr., Naida Ortiz, Jenera Hayes, Jr., David Ortiz, Jr., Isaac Hayes, Jason Ortiz, Eric Ortiz, Jonathan Ortiz, Jeremy Hayes, Nicholas Ortiz, Richard Ortiz, Joshua Santa Mana, Nitesha Hayes and Amaya Ortiz Quintara; many great-grandchildren; brother, Claudio Ortiz; sisters, Martha Galan Ortiz, Carmen Ortiz and Lily Ortiz; nephews, Richard Ortiz, Eriberto Rosario and Antonio Rosario; and nieces, Lily Rosario, Debbie Aguiar, Kathy Galan-Ortiz and Jenifer Badillo. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1649 Kingsley, Orange Park, FL 32073.
