Obituary of Lettie Loveleen Turner

Lettie Loveleen Turner, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2015, after a long illness. She was born on April 2, 1929 in Max Meadows, VA, to Birdie and Marcus Howlett. She was married to Captain John R. Turner, USN, until his death in August 2000. Loveleen joined Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority in November 1969. She was very active in chapters in Rockville, MD, Jacksonville and Orange Park, FL, and was a charter member of the Preceptor Omicron Chapter in Rockville and the Laureate Zeta Alpha Chapter in Orange Park. Loveleen was honored as Valentine Queen and Woman of the Year. She attained the highest degree of Torchbearer in 2014. Loveleen is survived by her daughter, Pamela, and son-in-law, Joseph Krygiel; son, Marcus Turner; two grandchildren, Timothy Krygiel and Rebecca Krygiel; niece, Linda Bonanno, and many other nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233.
