Obituary of Thomas Charles King

Thomas Charles King, affectionately known as “Papa,” was born on January 13, 1957 to Charles Jr. and Thelma King. He transitioned peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2016. Thomas leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Charles King Jr.; children, Kaleata (Ramon) Hernandez, Thaddeus White, Thomas Dennis, Tanilia Dennis, Derrick Dennis and Karon King; sisters, Gwendolyn White, Wanda Jones, Belinda (Karl) Vaughn and Renee King; brother, Bruce King; grandmother, Maggie King; aunt, Jacqueline King-Ferguson; uncle, Carl Randy (Mary) King; 23 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends. A public viewing will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Zion Grove Baptist Church, 6317 118th Street, Jacksonville, FL 32244. Interment will immediately follow the service at Borden Cemetery.
