Obituary of Rodney Gabel

Rodney L. Gabel, 70, passed away on July 26, 2016 in Gainesville, FL. He was born on August 6, 1945 in Lansing, MI to the late Harold and Dorothy Gabel. Rodney received his Doctor of Optometry degree and practiced in Jacksonville for over 40 years. He belonged to the Masons and Shriners and cherished time with his family, enjoyed boating, traveling, motor cycles and cars. Rodney was preceded in death by his wife, Sheri Gabel. Rodney is survived by his children, Wade and Jessica Gabel; granddaughters, London and Jaise Hallner; sister, Patricia Ferrell; nephew, Nathan Ferrell; niece, Katrina Ferrell; and a host of family and friends. A memorial service will be on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233.
