Obituary of Michael Shay Kohn

Michael Shay Kohn went home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2016 at 2:30 a.m. at St. Vincent Hospital Riverside in Jacksonville, FL. Michael answered his heavenly Father’s call and slept peacefully. He was born on February 1, 1952 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Deacon Ervin Kohn and Lucille Williams Kohn. Michael lived in Jacksonville, FL all of his life, attended Nathan B. Forest High School and served in the National Guard. He worked in construction and volunteered to help those in need. Michael is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roland Kohn, Richard Leroy Kohn and sister, Delores Kohn. Michael leaves to cherish his memories; sisters, Jacquelyn (Elbert) Walker and Joyce (Joe) Brinson; brother, Johnny Ervin Kohn; sister-in-law, Mary Kohn; aunts and uncles, Grace Shumpert (John), Agness Mayvin, Sheila Miller, Henry R. James and Reverend Joseph James; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
