Obituary of Florence C Johnson

Florence C. Johnson passed away on January 15, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. Florence was born on May 3, 1944 in Darien, GA, to Carey and Annie Cummings. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her father, Carey Cummings, and son, Thomas "Tommy" Wilkins. Florence graduated from Risley High School in the class of 1961. She worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 22 years before retiring. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Mary, Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. In addition to her mother, Florence is survived by her loving husband, Homer Johnson; daughters, Roslyn Wilkins, Kim, Homise and Tiffany Johnson; granddaughter, Krishae McFadden; grandson, Cory Bolds; great-grandson, Kaymon Jones; great-granddaughter, Katuri Jones; brother, Calvin Cummings; sisters, Rose Grant and Beatrice Cummings; aunts, Mrs. Willia Wilkins, Mrs. Idella Cummings and Mrs. Lizzie Johnson. A visitation-memorial will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233. A Catholic Mass will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Mary, Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 9401 Staples Mill Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32244. The family asks for donations to be made to the Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville, 630 May Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204.
