Obituary of Frank Edward Perron, Sr.
Frank E. Perron, Sr. passed away on March 19, 2016. He was born on December 6, 1940, in Baton Rouge, LA to the late Ruth N. and Lawrence A. Perron, Sr.
He served in the United Sates Army for 20 years, retiring as a Sergeant First Class. His duties included two tours in South Korea, one year in Vietnam and two tours in Germany. He served six years with the Presidential Honor Guard Unit at Fort Myers, VA.
Frank received his AA Degree from Florida Community College and worked for the Internal Revenue Service for twenty years. He was a long time member of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church, where he served on the Deacon Board, and Trustee Board, Men’s Council and sang in the Chancel Choir and Men’s Choir. He volunteered many hours at the I.M. Sulzbacher Center feeding the homeless. His hobbies included singing, fishing and model trains.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jacqueline P. Hall and brother, Lawrence A. Perron, Jr., grandparents, Charles and Clara Perron and Edward and Viola R Nelson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Jenkins Perron; daughters, Terri M. Perron, Baton Rouge, LA, and Monique F. Fuentes, Savannah, GA; son, Frank E, Perron, Jr. (Sherletha), Vancouver, WA; grandchildren, Keisha D. Horton (Trae), Shreveport, LA, Essence V. Dyson and Peri Dyson both of Baton Rouge, Frank E. Perron, III of Houston, TX, Zenobia Perron and Sarah Perron of New Orleans, LA, and David J. Fuentes, Jr. of Savannah, GA; four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. and a visitation at 10:00 a.m., both at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church, 3026 Woodlawn Road Jacksonville, Florida 32209.
