Obituary of James L. Davis

James L. Davis passed away on January 21, 2016 in Orange Park, FL. He was born on June 20, 1950 in Metropolis, IL, to the late John L. Davis and Lucille Hood Davis. Jim attended technical school for computer training and worked 47 years in the field of computers and IT. His main love was the computer, but he also liked fishing and watching football. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucille Davis, and grandparents, Joseph and Mabel Hood. Jim leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 45 years, Debra “Debbie” K. Davis; sons, Jonathan Todd Davis (Wendy), Adam Paul Davis and James Ryan Davis (Stacey); grandchildren, Emma Davis, and Elena and Ryan Love; sister, Linda Davis Johnston (Robert); and nephew and nieces, Barrett Holder (Candice), Rachel Holder, Stephanie Hambuchen (Matt) and Molly Holder. The family wishes to thank Haven Hospice Orange Park for the exceptional care given to Jim. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 12 noon at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233.
