Obituary of Pauline M. Powers

Pauline M. Powers passed away on January 10, 2016 in Orange Park, FL. She was born on February 21, 1931 in Jacksonville, FL, to the late Paul C. and Pearl P. Pace. Pauline graduated from Lee High School and attended Massey Business College. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Orange Park, FL, and had worked at Winn Dixie and Woodstock Baptist Church. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Pearl Pace; husband, John C. Powers, and her brothers, Paul C. Pace and James Pace. Pauline is survived by her sons, Cliff and Phil Powers; granddaughters, Amanda Powers, Melissa Powers (Wiley) Ingram and Sarah Powers (Brett) Rountree; great-grandson, Jack Rountree; sister, Louise Pace (Oliver) Wiggins; nephews, Kurt (Maria) Wiggins and Mike Pace; niece, Karen Wiggins (Logan) Holz, and cousin, Shirley Pace. The family extends thanks to Community Hospice (Amanda and Mary), Kelly McGaha, Tammera Barron, Glory Welborn and Seanne Funston, for the special care and kindness given to their loved one. A public graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, 2335 Sandridge Road, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043 and a visitation will be today, Wednesday, January 13, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, 904-264-1233.
