Obituary of Victor Odell Pons

Victor O’Dell Pons passed away on April 7, 2016 in Orange Park, FL. He was born on September 16, 1923 in Orange Heights, FL, to the late Jacob and Cready Pons. Victor worked for BellSouth for 35 years laying underground cable. He was hardworking and enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. He always had a joke or smile for everyone and never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Hazel Pons, and daughter, Alice Norman. Victor leaves to cherish his memories, son, Gary Pons; grandchildren, Tarlann and Lawton Pons and Amy Norman; and great-granddaughter, Breindel Pons. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to make final services possible. Victor will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. at South Middleburg Baptist Church, 4565 Alligator Blvd, Middleburg, FL 32068. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Fairbanks Cemetery, on Waldo Road. Flowers should be delivered to the church between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on the day of service or bring them with you to the cemetery.
