Obituary of Donald Ray Williamson

Donald Ray Williamson passed away on February 1, 2016 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on July 18, 1947 in Rocky Mount, NC to Laura Dupree Gerwig and the late William Lester Williamson. Donald worked as a regional sales manager for McKee Foods known for their snack cakes Little Debbie's. At 6'2" he was a gentle giant who liked "takin' care of business". He treasured his family and although recently retired, his colleagues remained lifelong friends. Donald enjoyed road trips, camping in his travel trailer, classic cars, rock and roll music and dancing. He had many skills and never shied away from a project whether it was working under the hood of a car, a DIY home remodel or gardening. He was always available to lend a helping hand, give advice or just give you a smile and thumbs up! Donald was preceded in death by his father, William Lester Williamson. Donald is survived by his wife, Tina Ann Williamson; children, Michael Ray Williamson and Amy Williamson Miller; granddaughter, Ariel Lynn Williamson; brothers, Charles, Jay and James Leonard; nephews and nieces, Christopher, Joe, Jonathon, Amber and Jessie Leonard and Ciarra Rosenthal. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. both at the Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233.
